Instruction mode
All subjects are presented with an outcomes-based approach, encouraging interactive and full-emersion contact learning. Attention is paid to developing a sound theoretical basis for all academic areas, but this needs to be applied practically to be of real and lasting value.
Language policy
The language of instruction and assessment at the Academy is English. All contact sessions are conducted in English. All assessments must be presented in English, and all assessment feedback is presented in English.
Student support
The Academy contracts the services of an academic development coordinator who pays extra attention to students’ special academic needs beyond the day-to-day teaching and learning interventions, and who provides social and psychological support. This is supplemented by access to a qualified psychologist and nursing sister, looking after stakeholders’ physical and psychological “first aid”.
